General & Laparoscopic Surgeon
Dr. Prasanna Yavalkar’s surgical practice is spanning over a period of 27 years. In the last 22 years he has done many basic to advanced laparoscopic surgeries. He also has a vast experience in cancer surgery of the gastrointestinal tract and cancer surgery of the breast (Breast Conservative Surgery). He has been trained at the University Hospital Genova, Italy for advanced laparoscopic surgery.
He is Associate Professor of Surgery with a teaching experience for undergraduate and post graduates and has been University teacher and examiner (MUHS/DNB).
At present he is Head of Department Surgery at Inlaks Budrani Hospital Consultant Surgeon at Oyster & Pearl Hospital and 4 Care Hospital (Mumbai). He is also visiting surgeon to many hospitals in and around Pune.
He is a Fellow of The Association of Surgeons of India and the Indian Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons and also member of other International Surgical Societies. He has attended various National & International Workshops and Conferences. He has many research papers published in National & International Surgical Journals. He has also been invited as Faculty for Live Hernia Workshop.
